Cleveland R2-D2 (Family Guy)

Our Cleveland R2-D2 figure is based on the Family Guy episode “Blue Harvest” where Peter hilariously retells Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope to his family when the power goes out. In classic Family Guy fashion, they eventually spoofed Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back and Episode VI: The Return of the Jedi with “Something, Something, Something, Dark Side” and “It’s a Trap!” respectively where Cleveland R2-D2 also makes his appearances in.

This figure is from the Star Wars: The Black Series 40th Anniversary 6-inch figure line.

The first time I saw one of these I had this idea for the Cleveland R2-D2. All I really did was sculpt the hair, repaint the blue and also his “eyes”. In addition, I added his sideways gun. The robotic arm came from an old X-Men Animated Series Reaver and the gun from an even older Punisher toy. I drilled magnets into the arm and the blue panel so that it could be removable.
